Hey guys. I have confirmed that a 9v 1amp charger will safely charge your controller with no damage to the charging circuit. It may not be perfect but it definitely works 100%. Hope this helps some of you.

Hi guys. I have yet to fly my drone as I am still trying to source a charger for the controller but I was wondering if anybody has flown theirs using VR and if it is even possible to do with the SOLO. I reckon it would be an awesome experience. Cheers

Thanks for the info mate. I have been stressing about finding one as I was under the assumption only an 8.3V 1.5A one would work. You saved me wasting dollars.
