Thanks to Joe Horn's post I tried dropping the resolution and it worked I used 720p no problems. Still wondering how I was able to use the higher setting before though. I will buy a hero 4 and let you know the difference at least with the hero 4 you can control it from the app.......I hope.

I have just resurrected my solo and I use side pilot with an iPhone and find it better than the original 3dr app the solo is flying very well and the video is awesome.

Let me know when you work out what you want. I live on the South Coast and am very keen to purchase bits and pieces.........there are quite a few price guides on the forum in US dollars.
