    My SOLO took a swim

Sooo after shipping you're probably looking at around $90. My other option is maybe if I decide to stay in the quadcopter environment is to just pick up one of the new ones I see advertised for $260.

I have contemplated that. Not sure how much they would cost. When I get it that far apart then I guess I'd have to think about an upgraded GPS card (mine is the original Rev A) and maybe even the new PixHawk that's about to be released. I'm actually more inclined to just sell everything though.

Hopefully you were in 'fresh' water and not any sort of brackish or salt water. Good that you removed the battery, although I hear they are sealed fairly well so before you toss it try seeing if it'll take a charge. I had just flushed mine off with clean water, blew it off and put it in a bag...

Removing ribbon cable from motor pod ?

There are no clips or anything locking them together? There a couple of pin looking things sticking out of each side of the board connection and I was thinking maybe they had something to do with holding them together. Would your technique then be the same for ALL of those type connectors...

Removing ribbon cable from motor pod ?

I tried searching for " How to remove ribbon cable from motor pods? " and came up empty. Is there some trick to removing the ribbon cable from the motor pods? Mine doesn't seem to want to come apart and I'm afraid of breaking something.

You thinking it could just be dirty contacts and not the components themselves?

Thanks for watching and commenting Frank. The WiFI card is on the underside of the board under the battery compartment isn't it? That's the only thing I didn't pull out. Tried it once before when I thought I had HDMI cable connector issues and gave up before I broke something. I guess I...

    My SOLO took a swim

I made a video of my unsuccessful resurrection attempt. ( ) It flies but I'm having internment connection problems. If you want to watch and see what it's doing you can skip the first 8 min. Maybe someone can point me in the direction of the problem. The gimbal appeared dead so I mounted my...

Bummer! The only other possibility might be to drop a magnet down from a fishing line and see if you get lucky and it finds something somewhere on the engine that will attract it. Probably won't be able to pull it up but it should give you a better idea as to its location. Good Luck.

How deep do you estimate the water is at that location? Grappling hook maybe ?

Some of the new fish finders available produce some pretty amazing images. Have you tried tasking a local Bass professional?

Yeah, and I was really surprised that none of the props got broke. One of them was deformed but the next day it's seemed to have straightened itself back out. I'll recheck the balance on them before trying to reuse. I did immediately pull the SOLO and GoPro batteries out as soon as we got it...

    My SOLO took a swim

I got lucky and found my SOLO the following day. It was in the weeds, nose down, almost flipped over. The camera, gimbal and probably most of the battery were under water. Strangely though a couple of the LED's on the battery were illuminated but I couldn't turn them off so I'm suspecting the...
