best phone for solo app

am looking at getting either an Iphone 5s or Galaxy s5...................
any opinions ?>??
anybody presently using either of them with their solo that can rate their experience.....

Welcome, Randall. I currently use a Galaxy S7 Active, but prior to it I used the Galaxy S5. The S5 worked fine whenever I used it. Normally I use my Nexus 7 (2013) . The Nexus has a very bright screen so it is easier to see when in bright light. I cannot comment on the iPhone since I have never owned one, but the Galaxy S5 worked well for me. I'd have to recommend the Galaxy. I don't own one but just to have the option to run Solex app (Android only) would be the deal maker for me.

I use the Galaxy tab s2 with cellular. Though i have a s7 edge i use the tab 95% of the time in case i use tower.

I can verify the screen is bright enough, like yesterday in Darwin 34 deg weather.

i use both the galaxy s5 phone and the tab s2 wifi only. solex runs fine on both as does the 3DR app.

if you want to buy the Solex app you will need to steer clear of apple, it only runs on android and is way better than the 3DR app.
