I think I gotcha. You are using both the internal camera GPS as well as the log data for best accuracy / ease of syncing. Are you using a trigger or just the intervalometer?

No, probably won't. Happy with my Hero4B. Looking to add gps enabled still cam as described above.

Its possible to do, however the SJCam 4000,5000,5000+ have reversed micro hdmi connectors. So using the solo gimbal is not practical.
You need to use a micro hdmi extension for your mounting option.
I have used both the SJCam 5000+ and a Canon SX260hs at the same time with no problem. With the 5000+ feeding video out, while while running photo missions.

Yes,
I had to use an micro HDMI extension cable to be able to connect to the SJ from the under frame mount where it was positioned to the Solo cable. There is no control of the camera, only video feed.
I removed the gimbal and was using this as a means to monitor flight while using Tower, and running other cameras for mapping mounted under the frame.

I've confirmed that it does work with a gopro, so it's not defective. I still can't get the sjcam to work. I'm waiting for some adapters to come in so I can play around with it more.
